Mix the seeds with a moist growing medium and place them in a sealed freezer bag to maintain moisture. Germination typically takes around 2-3 months and thrives in temperatures between 12-20°C.

When planting Windmill Palms, it is best to choose a location with dappled shade, although they can tolerate full sun or dense shade. To prevent damage from strong winds, plant them in a sheltered location if possible. These palms are valued for their coarse but durable leaf sheath fibers, which are commonly used to make rope, sacks, and other sturdy fabrics.
